Our commitment
MGO Studios is a design studio. Design that only works for some people is not finished design. We are committed to making mgostudios.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard only, magnification, speech input, or reduced motion settings.
The standard we aim for
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target. WCAG is the internationally recognised standard for making web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, cognitive, motor, and other disabilities. This site is designed and tested against those criteria, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time checklist.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading order, landmarks, and a skip-to-content link
- Full keyboard operability, including the navigation and mobile menu, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Text and interface colours checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode
- A dark mode option, and support for the operating system’s own light/dark preference
- Motion and scroll effects that are disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion
- Text that reflows and stays readable when zoomed or viewed on small screens, with no horizontal scrolling
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Form fields with visible, correctly associated labels and clear error messaging
- Link text that makes sense out of context, and links that open in a new window identified as such
Known limitations
We are honest about the gaps. As of the date above, we are aware of the following:
- Third-party content. Some content is served by tools we do not control — including our privacy policy embed, any embedded video, and analytics or scheduling widgets. We choose vendors with accessibility in mind, but we cannot guarantee their output meets AA.
- Older archive material. Documents, images, and posts published before this site was rebuilt may lack full alternative text or a tagged reading order.
- Case study imagery. Some design work is inherently visual. Where an image carries meaning we describe it in text, but complex layouts and brand artwork cannot always be fully conveyed.
Each of these is on our list, and we address them as we publish new work.
Compatibility
This site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile, used with recent versions of screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. It may not work as expected on browsers more than two major versions old.
How we test
We combine automated checks with manual review: keyboard-only walkthroughs, screen reader spot checks, colour contrast measurement, zoom and reflow testing at 200% and on small viewports, and review of new pages before they publish. Automated tools catch roughly a third of issues, so the manual pass is the one that matters.

Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge every accessibility message within two business days and to give you a fix or a timeline within ten business days. If you need information from this site in another format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — ask and we will provide it at no cost.
Accessibility in the work we do
We apply the same standard to the sites we design for clients: accessible colour systems, keyboard-operable components, semantic build, and alternative text as part of the content process rather than an afterthought. If accessibility matters for your project, say so early and we will scope it in properly.
